I am excited to be offering clinical counselling alongside the other modalities that are available at the clinic, including RMT, Chiropractic, and Yoga. As we build out the services in this first year of operation more will come on board. To help support and fill service gaps, I will be offering my services in the afternoon and evenings but would be able to see folks during the morning as well. I welcome enquiries to ensure that before proceeding with any counselling, you believe that we can work together to accomplish the goals that you set! In addition, I can offer Virtual or online counselling via MS Teams. I have gained experience and training in multiple areas since 2002 and have specializations in Mental Health, and Substance use and have worked with clients identifying as LGBTQIA+, youth and young adults and adults. Most importantly, I see my clients as the guide to the work that we will do! I am client centered and work to build that therapeutic relationship that fosters trust, open honest connection which leads to insight and change if that is the desired outcome!

Megan began her yoga journey in 2008 and took her first hot yoga class in 2012, she quickly fell in love and has been a practitioner ever since. As her love for yoga grew, she started to branch out and explore different yoga styles and ways in which to move the body.

Megan’s love for both fitness and yoga and everything it brings to both the body and mind lead her to her first 200-hour Yoga & Fitness teacher training in 2019. Megan began sharing her passion with the community through various styles of Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Megan has also completed her Yin Yoga teacher training and is excited to share a slower side of the practice with the community.

Megan loves that yoga not only challenges you but also brings you peace at the same time, like a yin-yang symbol it represents both sides. Her classes are a fun and exhilarating union of yoga, strength, and conditioning, with the intention to tap into the body’s full potential, develop strength, and deepen the mind-body connection.

I feel so fortunate to be able to call this my job and am always honoured to have the opportunity to witness a birther walk their path.

I bring with me the experience of 9 years as a Birth Doula, having attended over 100 births, and I have been teaching prenatal classes for nearly a decade. Prior to that I obtained a degree in Child and Youth Care at The University of Victoria and a background in counselling. I have spent my entire career and most of my life surrounded by, working with, and supporting women, children and families. It is no surprise that I have ended up here, in birth work, following paths which I feel strongly, are my calling.

I believe that birth is a natural process and that we already have the power, strength, and intuitive wisdom necessary to birth our babies. I also believe in the powerful act of gathering and employing a village of support to help guide you on your way through this transformational time. I have seen first hand how much of a positive impact these supports can have, not just during pregnancy and birth, but throughout a person’s life. Whether you are an experienced birther, or this is your first time, my goal is to provide the resources, care, and support you and your partner (if applicable) need, to be able to navigate through whatever comes your way.

Over the last eight years I have had the pleasure of working with women and their families in many different capacities. I started my career working on a hospital maternity unit caring for women and their newborns postpartum. After falling in love with that work, I earned my advanced perinatal nursing certificate to be able to support women during labour and delivery. All of this has led me to my current role in the community as a Public Health Nurse. It is an absolute joy and my biggest passion to have a small part in one of the most meaningful events in a family’s life. I always knew that maternal child health had my heart, but after having my own two beautiful children and experiencing motherhood first hand, my passion for supporting new mothers grew deeper. I so look forward to connecting with you. If I can support you in any way, please reach out through our contact form.
